About COPAG Cards
COPAG cards offer high quality and superb value. They are 100% plastic and are far superior to cheaper plastic cards (Royals, etc.) and also to high quality paper cards (Bicycle, etc). The cards are on a par to the KEM branded decks - although their price makes them much more attractive. Don't be fooled by "plastic coated" cards, as these bend and tear just as easily as regular paper decks. COPAG cards will not dent, mark or crimp under normal playing conditions, and last around 100 times longer than paper and 20 times longer than cheaper plastic cards. They're even washable and water resistant - and will still play like new after years of use! COPAG is the only card making company to be ISO 9002 certified. This ensures you get the COPAG quality every time!
COPAG cards were the official cards for the World Series of Poker in 2005. You don't get any better endorsement in poker!
A note on card sizes and index sizes:
The Bridge size cards are 2.25" x 3.5". This is the standard playing card size which is generally used for poker in casinos and card clubs.
The Poker size decks are 2.5" x 3.5". These cards have traditionally been used for Blackjack in casinos but are becoming increasingly popular for poker due to their wider size for all round table visibility.
Cards come in two index sizes, standard and jumbo. This is the size of the actual rank and suit on the card. Jumbo index give better visibility around the table. The standard index is more traditional and makes it easier to protect your hole cards. Cards also vary as to whether they are 'two pip' or 'four pip'. Two pip have the rank and suit in two opposite corners of the card face. Four pip have the rank and suit in all four corners.
A new deck of COPAG cards will at first seem quite slippery compared to paper cards. This will settle down after a few games when you will find they handle as well as any other deck. One tip with a new COPAGs is to press down on the middle of the deck once when it is not being dealt. This vacuum seals the deck and holds the cards together until the next deal.
